The Lockdown
I was sleeping until the sun rays from the window came to my eyes. The honk of the horn came from outside: "Who wants fruits? Who wants vegetables?" I was still yawning and rolling my eyelids just to figure out who was yelling at the roadway. My brother came in no time.
He uttered: "Do you have green leaves and onions?"
I was still clumsy while he went by me and took some veggies early in the morning.
It was the 25th day since the Lockdown began. The roads and streets were silent with minimal vehicles and passers-by. Anybody could listen to the sound of chirping birds in the road with few amounts of daily accessing food vehicles and medical traffics in the thoroughfare. The COVID-19 cases became pandemic in most countries in the world. The number of people with Corona cases was increasing day-by-day. Not only the small countries but also the strong countries were perpetually suffering from pandemic cases with no peculiar vaccines and medications. The news was overwhelmed with the number of RDT and PCR tests for the suspects, the isolated and quarantined people.
My daily routine was quite unusual due to the lockdown. I usually freshened my face and assisted my brother for meals. Sometimes, I look after an online recipe for cooking meats, paneer, and biryani to cook on my own. Nevertheless, I only made the physical resemblance of meals the same.
One day after lunch, my neighbor friend yelled: "Hey, Ashish! Come here if you are free."
I replied nodding my hair: "I will come shortly dude."
Bibek was waiting for my arrival to play a Chess with him. He won most of the time. I occasionally made the right step to win. I thought this game was made for him. Later, we played the Ludo along with his sisters. The game was played in bet. I, fortunately, won most of the games. I was yearning to play more.
Most of the days were passed scrolling down the Facebook posts and surfing the internet. I searched about the topics affiliated to gadgets and devices ready to come into the market. Sometimes, I eye on web series with the friend's suggestion. After all, I was passing my daytime.
Some of the folks were protesting to travel to their homes from the lockdown places. While some travelers carried their loaded bags on the head and moving to their destinations on foot. The media were posting their pathetic reasons for heading to their homes despite no public vehicles and the lockdown barrier. Later, the government-aided some helpless people to travel to their places hiring their vehicles.
The Lockdown period has hindered our day-to-day life activities. We are compelled to sit inside our own homes without making social interactions mostly to the new people of the society. We are compelled to use Masks; probably N95 Masks for better protection, wash hands in touching public usable stuff in no time. We are maintaining hygiene in our surroundings too. These activities may probably halt the spread of this pandemic COVID-19 disease. Nonetheless, the research of the virus vaccines and medications is going on in developed countries according to the WHO (World Health Organization). We could expect good news in the coming days soon. In a nutshell, we could hopefully expect the medications at an affordable price in our country as well.
