The Jaunt.

A desperate bus driver honked the horn.  It's already 4:00 PM at the Bus Park of Kathmandu – Many buses were starting an engine to kick off their journey. A conductor of the bus hastily dialed Sarika's number; the number you have dialed is busy.  "Let's start a bus; she might come later.", A conductor with haggard eyes mumbled. All of a sudden, a bachelorette was rushing and yelling distantly.  "Hello! I am coming." She sighed her relief intimidatingly, showed her tickets to the bus guide, and asked her seat in a camaraderie. Manish was sitting in an aisle seat, and the window seat was for her. "Hello! Can I go inside?"  "Of course!", He gestured to her. The bus was almost full of passengers also in the back seat. Air Conditioning opened, and the suspension facilitated bus was about to leave the Capital city premises. The dusk was about to begin, and the background song volume was sluggishly belittling. He moved his palm towards her. ...

Pavilion of Friendship

The downpour was tickling in the road with splashing sound from the vehicles. It was 10:00 early in the morning as all office workers were in a hurry for their office. Manish was also in a rush for his classes in an Expert Education consultancy. He hastily reached his classroom with all his attire drenched. Manish went by near the door and mumbled: "Can I come in, sir?" Deepak Sir glanced at him: " Come in. Have a sit." Everyone in the class stared at him in silence while a girl was giggling in the back. The tutor began his lecture. It was noon for a break. Sarika came abruptly towards Manish and teased him for being late in the class. He didn't give a gesture to her. Instead, they went for snacks. The weather was clearing perpetually. The downpour changed into a drizzle. The wind commenced blowing away all the coolness in an atmosphere. Anyone could see hills and mountains vividly in the sky. It was already 3:00 PM - Sarika asked Manish, "The weather is pl...

The Lockdown

Image
I was sleeping until the sun rays from the window came to my eyes. The honk of the horn came from outside: "Who wants fruits? Who wants vegetables?" I was still yawning and rolling my eyelids just to figure out who was yelling at the roadway. My brother came in no time.  He uttered: "Do you have green leaves and onions?"  I was still clumsy while he went by me and took some veggies early in the morning.  It was the 25th day since the Lockdown began. The roads and streets were silent with minimal vehicles and passers-by. Anybody could listen to the sound of chirping birds in the road with few amounts of daily accessing food vehicles and medical traffics in the thoroughfare. The COVID-19 cases became pandemic in most countries in the world. The number of people with Corona cases was increasing day-by-day. Not only the small countries but also the strong countries were perpetually suffering from pandemic cases with no peculiar vaccines and medications. The news ...

Motorcycle Riding; Interest or Compulsion?

Image
Talking about my first ride, I still remember when my elder brother used to deny me riding a motorcycle as I was scared enough to handle it properly. I was in 9th grade, young and quite loath to have a sit in the motorcycle, switch on it, and accelerate the throttle. Later, when I passed one more year and was confident enough my elder brother and my dad taught me the initial steps of bike riding. Those first riding, unprecedented falls, elderly rebukes and finally gaining control of that machine is yet in my memories. Last week, I accompanied by my friends jaunted towards Bhedetar located in Dhankuta District on our own motorbikes. Unfortunately, we did witness a horrible accident on the way. A humongous truck had hit a scooter; both rider and pillion rider were  in a serious injury. The casualties were sent to hospitals in an ambulance. In a way, we often see a biker weaving in and out of traffic at full throttle, blasting past cyclists, city safaris, and dodging p...

Reincarnation of Happiness

Image
That trigger still intrigues my mind. The nerve-wracking feeling lost in somewhere when I couldn't do my daily stuff well as I used to do. I couldn't hang out with buddies, play FIFA with them, and shout out loud anymore. I couldn't tolerate a single rebuke from my parents and teachers. A total nightmare with a lot of delusions. I was losing hope day by day. My life seemed to be in misery simply slipping out of hand. After a difficult yet splendid score in SLC, I did come to Kathmandu for my higher study. I was enrolled in a hostel there. And, my life went on perpetually in the same routine. Coping through a science subject wasn't easy. The situation became worse when we had to spend hours on extra classes as well. The thoughts and feelings deliberately relapsed in exam time when I had to stress even more. I unknowingly worsened my Physics exam. I couldn't write to the level of my ability. The days passed on. The result came. I, fortunately, got passed w...
